Often times we talk about the ‘right people’ or the ‘right person’ for the opportunity or the funding or the job. The question is who are these right people? are they born that way or are they made? I know for sure that at some stage in my life I was not the right person but someone else took a chance to help me become the right person, they gave me a chance to grow and a chance to prove that I too can be the right person.

Now there are people who think I am the right person but truth is that I was not born that way. So today I am grateful to all those who invested their time into making sure that today I am seen as the right person by some. Of course we are always in the process of becoming and so I remain a work in progress.

Why am I telling you this? Those of us in positions of power should be willing to invest our time in supporting those who are willing to be the ‘right people’. Do not always look for the finished product but get involved in the process of creating the right people. #Leadership

Good day Professor. I was and still am honored to have had an opportunity to hear you speak at the Unisa graduation ceremony yesterday. Your words left me inspired and motivated…. above all , I feel very confident to be a Unisa Graduate. I told myself that I would find out more about you. And now after reading your blog I am more inspired. Continue being an inspiration to the human species.
